True Magic(k)

Do you believe in magic?

As I continue to look upon the months ahead, I find myself reflecting on this question more so than ever. My new album, Winter Glow, which releases on November 9, 2021, is a non-traditional Christmas album.

Celebrating the magic of the winter solstice combined with the traditions of Christmas; writing the album I wanted to give you a different perspective on the season of dark.

You may have heard me talk about the "season of light" and the "season of dark" in my live performances. As a pagan (who also considers herself Christian, ironically), the seasonal changes have a profound effect on my life.

I believe each season has its time and each person has there purpose. The season of dark which incorporates both autumn and winter, is the season for many of us where all our fears and hidden desires, ironically, come to light.

There is a certain magic in the air. The pressure of the holidays combined with the peacefulness the crisp air can make the season feel melancholy and bittersweet.

The glow of winter is something to cherish. While much of the holiday season is actually celebrated during the months of fall, winter always seems to come a bit earlier every year.

This winter I hope that you take the time to let the glow of the season light you up inside. The 4 original songs off the EP will inspire you to treasure each moment shared with loved ones and with the season itself.

Whether you are alone or with family and friends this holiday season, know that the glow of winter (that pure and true magic you feel every year at this time) is always there to light your way through the season of dark and beyond.

Happy holidays! (yes, this most definitely includes my personal favorite; HALLOWEEN!) 👻
